Asian Wedding Decorations

Choosing the right venue will save you a lot of decorations, so we’re great advocates of choosing the perfect venue.
There’s nothing like an authentic Chinese or Japanese restaurant as a perfect venue for your Asian wedding reception. Since these restaurants usually come with traditional decorations of Japanese lanterns or Chinese-looking chandeliers, more often than not, they already come with the right ambiance such that you only need to do a wee bit more for decoration purposes.
If you feel you still need more decorations to accentuate your chosen theme, then you must use these different Asian elements for your decorations -  Chinese vases, dragons in all shapes and sizes, paintings with lots of cherry blossoms, Japanese lanterns, chopsticks, Chinese takeout boxes, fortune cookies, Ang Paos or the popular red envelopes and of course, Chinese characters about love and happiness. The Chinese character which means Double Happiness is very popular in weddings and is definitely worth adding. Not familiar with it? Be sure to check out our invitation page for reference.
A solid red table cloth can adorn your guest tables. You have lots of choices for your centerpiece, which can be one of the following: a rectangle plate with Asian spoons (each Asian spoon can contain candies or fruits), a Japanese lantern, a bowl full of fortune cookies, some of those green and lucky bamboos, or a Chinese vase with lotuses.
We will leave it to you on whether to get balloons, but if you do decide to do so, we think that red balloons are worthy additions to what you have prepared so far. If you want to go beyond ordinary balloons, we saw some dragon balloons (a collection of balloons designed to look like a dragon) and we think they’ll elevate what you have prepared so far to the next level!

Beach Wedding Decorations

Choosing the right venue will save you a lot of decorations, so we’re great advocates of choosing the perfect venue.
And the cool thing about this theme and having it along the beach is that you have instant decoration and ambiance right there!
But if you feel you still need more decorations to accentuate your theme and you happen to be having a night beach wedding reception, some outdoor lanterns here and there will add to the atmosphere you’re aiming for. We also think that placing some bamboo wind chimes in the right places will not just give you something pretty to look at but will also give you some great sounds as the wind blows. Flowers are great for decorations and a beach wedding requires a lot of colorful flowers in the right places to make it perfect.
Some romantic sand art here and there will not be amiss. If you are having a night reception, we think that digging some holes in the sand and placing some candles in the holes can add a lot to the atmosphere you’re aiming for.
You and your new hubby definitely need the right seat on your wedding day and we think that a pair of beach chairs strategically placed will serve as your seats of honor. These will be a great addition to what you have prepared so far.
A white and lacy table cloth can adorn your guest tables. To add more pizzazz to your table, we think that a shallow dish containing some water, an orchid or two and a floating candle is a cool centerpiece idea. If you prefer another idea, we think that seashells submerged in a jar of water is really pretty, not to mention very theme-based. But if you absolutely love flowers and thinks that a table won’t be properly adorned if there’s no flower in sight, then birds of paradise (or other tropical flowers) in an elegant vase will be more to your taste.
We will leave it to you on whether to get balloons, but we think that balloons that come in the color of the more popular tropical flowers (orange, yellow, hot pink, etc) are the balloons that you want in your beach wedding.

Butterfly Wedding Decorations

Choosing the right venue will save you a lot of decorations, so we’re great advocates of choosing the perfect venue.
A garden wedding is the perfect venue for a butterfly-themed wedding, since flowers and butterflies go perfectly together. But if you're having an outdoor wedding during the summer, you might want to go for a venue with lots of trees and shades. However, if you think an air-conditioned venue will be more to your taste, that should also be fine. Just ensure that your wedding venue decoration will include lots of flowers.
But if you feel you still need more decorations to accentuate your theme, adding tons of butterfly-shaped decorations in all sizes and colors will be quite fitting. Hearts "caught" in butterfly nets are cool additions as well. We also love the idea of a bubble machine in the picture and think they are worth considering.
You can go for either a flowery table cloth or a lacy one to adorn your guest tables. To add more pizzazz to your table, we think that a shallow dish containing some water, rose petals and a butterfly-shaped floating candle is a cool centerpiece idea. We also love the idea of lemons and/or limes submerged in a jar/vase of water since they will be a refreshing and colorful addition to your guest tables. Of course summer flowers like Gerber in old wine bottles are just perfect as table decorations. Adding a butterfly or two in the picture will not be amiss as well.
We will leave it to you on whether to get balloons, but we think that colorful balloons are the balloons that you want in your butterfly-themed wedding.

Celestial Wedding Decorations

Choosing the right venue will save you a lot of decorations, so we’re great advocates of choosing the perfect venue.
A night time wedding reception is a MUST if you’re having a celestial wedding. Any place that is perfect for star gazing is a cool venue for this wedding theme. The roof deck of any skyscraper is also another cool venue candidate.
If that open space and those glittery stars is not enough decoration for you, then just add some glow in the dark items, a telescope here and there, star and moon cutouts wrapped in silver or gold foil, some glitter lamps in the right places, cute pictures of the different zodiac signs, and so on. The right lighting will also add to the atmosphere you’re setting and we think some bubbles from your bubble machine will also be cool.
You can go for either a dark and silky table cloth to adorn your guest tables or a glittery one.  Either way, we think that adding a bowl full of glow in the dark items is a cool table decoration and so is a shallow dish with water and some star-shaped candles. Some star-shaped foil balloons or star flowers in an old wine bottle (we recommend that you also decorate the bottle with some glitters) will be just perfect.
Naming your tables either by planets or by some star names will stress your chosen theme so we suggest you go for it. Using some star-shaped or silvery place card holder is highly recommended.
Adding balloons on your celebration is definitely worth considering. For your celestial wedding, you can either go for glittery balloons or a number of balloons bunched together to look like a star. Both are fantastic additions to what you have prepared so far.
