Cinderella Wedding Dress Ideas
The cool thing about going for this theme is that your wedding gown will be the least of your problems, since Cinderella is pretty popular in the wedding gown industry. With lots of designers trying to do their own modern rendition of Cinderella’s beautiful dress, the problem will be too much choices rather than the opposite.
If you prefer the old fashion look and would like go for the more authentic version, we think that designing your wedding gown based on popular fashion during the 1690s (Cinderella was written the year 1697) will be a cool idea. Though not exactly a wedding dress, we found this image of a 1690s fashion that can serve as a pattern for your wedding dress.
A tiara should definitely be one of your accessories, and so are heart-shaped glass jewelries. We love the idea of getting a glass slipper pendant, which will be a nice addition to your chosen attire and accessories.
Dressing ala Cinderella’s prince is definitely one approach to your groom attire. But if you prefer going for the more modern version, then getting a tuxedo is the answer. Depending on how formal you want things to be, he can even go for the whole shebang – white shirt, vest, tuxedo, top hat, kid gloves, and of course dress shoes.
Pink flowers, whether roses or calla lilies, are definitely in when you’re having a princess wedding, but if you want a white wedding bouquet, a combination of white roses and peonies is also another option.
Fall Wedding Dress Ideas
Going for a dress with enough gold trimmings and accents is the way to go if you’re pushing for a fall wedding. Since you will never know ahead of time whether the day of your wedding will be warm or cold, we highly recommend going for tubes, sleeveless or off-shoulder dresses and just prepare some shawl (with gold accents of course) just in case it is not as warm as you expected.
Another approach to your wedding attire is to ensure that your wedding gown comes with what we call fall designs. This means a wedding gown wherein fall flowers are a big part of the design, how big a part depends on your preference. We saw some gowns with roses and ruffles that might happen to be what you want for your big day.
Accessorizing with flowers, gold ribbons and jewelries will further accentuate your love of autumn so we definitely recommend it. Complete your wedding attire with some shoes or sandals in gold and/or with the right flower designs, to complement what you’re wearing.
Your groom must also show some preference for the gold color, which can be shown in his chosen vest, tie and accessories (eg. gold cufflinks). Going for solid and dark colors is also an alternative for your hubby to be.
Similar to your dress, your entourage can wear something sleeveless, off-shoulder and the like with gold accents and the right wraps just in case it turns chilly. Their male counterparts need some gold in their vest and/or ties as well.
There are lots of flowers that happen to bloom a lot during this season so just choose your favorite among them for your wedding bouquet.
Fishing Wedding Dress Ideas
If you will look good in a mermaid-style dress, then that is the best wedding gown style if you’re opting for a gone fishing wedding theme. If you prefer a different style, then going for the right color instead of cut will be fine and on this case, a silver one is the way to go. Add some birdcage veil in the picture and you’re almost perfectly dressed for your chosen theme.
If you’re having your wedding during the summer, make sure that your groom is wearing a summer-friendly attire, something in light colors and of thin materials. He can complete his chosen outfit with some cool-looking fishing hat and some silver accessories in the right places.
Water lily and other flowers that grow in either rivers or wet areas are great candidates for your wedding bouquet. You can even have some lilies tuck in your ear and hair if you’re up to it. For your jewelries, anything of silver or white gold is cool, but something that comes in fish shape will be fantastic!
Green Wedding Dress Ideas
There are many ways to approach your green wedding dress. You can be literal about it and just wear something that has green accents. Or you can really “go green” and read through the rest of our ideas.
Going for a refurbished gown is definitely one way to go, although renting your wedding gown is another option. Both ideas can be cheaper than going for a grand and brand new attire, which will mean more budget for the rest of your wedding preparations, or it can also mean more savings or more money for your favorite environmental charity, if that’s part of your plan.
However, if you do plan to go for a new dress, especially if this is a critical factor to your having your dream wedding, then going for gowns made of eco-friendly materials like hemp, peace silk, and organic cotton is the way to go. You can even go one step further and donate your wedding gown to organizations like Brides Against Breast Cancer and grant some wishes in the process.
Any organic and green flowers in your hair and bouquet will be fantastic and very fitting to your chosen wedding theme. Complete your wedding attire by wearing some green jewelries like emerald or jade.
Most of the above ideas are also applicable to your groom’s attire, so whether he wants to go for the whole shebang and wear tuxedo on your wedding day, buying used, renting, or having one made of organic material should do the trick. Wearing a vest with green accents and maybe some green or environment-themed cufflinks will be perfect additions to his chosen wedding attire.
Mexican Wedding Dress Ideas
Getting a wedding dress that looks like a flamenco dancer’s costume can be one approach to your Mexican wedding gown. However, if you prefer something more traditional, then getting a wedding dress which requires a bolero jacket will be a worthy alternative. Adding a mantilla in the picture will also be cool.
Your groom can choose to look like a matador, which will mean tight-fitting pants and a bolero jacket. There’s something quite cool about how a matador looks so if he's going for this idea and with you in your flamenco dancer costume, you and groom will definitely look lovely together!
For your wedding bouquet, we suggest a bouquet that includes Dahlia, which is Mexico’s national flower, in the picture. Including a rosary and other religious items as part of your accessories will make your Mexican wedding very traditional, just the way you like it.
