10-12 Months Before
□ Announce your intention to wed to your family and friends
□ Create a wedding website to announce your plan to wed . □ Throw an engagement party, if you're having one
□ Pick your wedding date and time.
□ Start your guest list.
□ Decide on who will pay for the wedding. Set a budget with the people involved.
□ Reserve your ceremony and reception venues
□ Choose who will be your bridesmaids and groomsmen.
□ Book your wedding officiant.
□ Hire a wedding planner and/or coordinator.
□ Envision how your dream wedding will look like. Decide if you will have a wedding theme and motif, which can help you center your wedding preparations and style to a particular theme
8 Months Before
□ Choose and book your wedding caterer
□ Pick your favorite florist
□ Choose your preferred wedding photographer and videographer
□ Decide which wedding cake supplier you prefer
□ Pick your favorite musician/DJ for your wedding ceremony and reception
□ Choose a friend or hire a professional to host your event
□ Shop for your wedding dress and accessories
□ Shop for your bridesmaids' dresses and accessories
□ Plan your honeymoon
6 Months Before
□ (E)mail a Save the Date notice to the people you want to include in your wedding.
□ Book accommodations for your out-of-town guests
□ Reserve tables, chairs, dishes, and tents
□ Arrange your wedding transpo
□ Pick your wedding invitations
□ Choose and book a calligrapher, if you prefer to have one
□ Choose and pick special event providers that you plan to have on your wedding (eg. Mexican dancers)
□ Purchase your wedding rings
□ Shop and buy your grooms' attire and other accessories
□ Rent or buy your groomsmen attire and accessories
□ Sign up for your chosen gift registry
2-3 Months Before
□ Finalize guest list.
□ Mail your wedding invitations
□ Book your preferred hair stylist and makeup artist and finalize your hair and makeup for your wedding day
□ Plan, schedule and prepare for your rehearsal dinner
□ Purchase and wrap your wedding favors
□ Buy gifts for your wedding party and for each other
□ Plan your wedding menu with your caterer
□ Discuss your wedding ceremony with your officiant
□ Start preparing for your wedding decorations and program. Purchase any necessary items like decoration stuff, game materials and prizes
□ Write your wedding vows □ Attend bridal showers
1 Month Before
□ Procure a marriage license
□ Confirm reservations with your different suppliers and their arrival times.
□ Have final wedding gown fittings.
□ Confirm with your bridesmaids and groomsmen that their wedding clothes are fine
□ Call guests that haven’t RSVP’d. Finalize guest list.
□ Call family and friends who have special role on your wedding, confirm their availability and arrival times
□ Discuss your wedding program with your coordinator and host
□ Prepare guests seating plan and place cards
□ Make sure you have some good wine for your wedding toasts
□ Attend bachelorette parties!
2 Weeks Before
□ Write toasts for the rehearsal dinner and reception
□ Pick up wedding dress
□ Ask family and friends to assist guests during the reception, distribute favors, and other tasks during the wedding
The Day Before
□ Pamper yourself by having some much needed mani and pedi and spa treatments
□ Give your wedding party their gifts
□ Have your wedding rehearsal and dinner
□ Rest. You have a busy day tomorrow.
The Big Day
□ Do all the pre-wedding stuff like hair and makeup and take a lot of photographs
□ Smile! It's your wedding day, and you want no frowns to mar this wonderful day
After The Wedding
□ Enjoy your honeymoon!
□ Make sure that you write thank you notes for all those wonderful gifts
